Marco Mazzarino is Professor of Transport Geography, Logistics and Supply Chain Management at the Università Iuav di Venezia. He co-founded Bestever Supplychain, a start-up and university spin-off, alongside two former top executives. He is Head of the SLU (Sustainable Logistics Unit) at Venice International University (VIU), where he oversees the development of international projects in the field of supply chain and logistics.
At Iuav and VIU, he has participated in more than 70 innovation projects and has authored 90 publications, including 3 books. At Iuav, he has also served as Director of the Professional Master Program in 'Global Supply Chain Management and Logistics' for more than 15 years. He is a member of ALICE (Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe). He earned a PhD in Transport, Traffic and Environment at the University of Trieste, and further specialized at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Institute for Transport Studies (University of Leeds), and the World Maritime University in Malmö
